Injection molding is a perfect choice when it comes to high volumes production of plastic spoons. A series of factors should be taken into consideration to design a mold with a sound structure, such as the shape, weight and material of the spoon. It is important to consider whether to use a cold runner, a hot runner, or a semi-hot runner based on the consumer’s focus. Solution

As the production is up to 500,000 shots, we decided to use cold runner, which is more affordable. The mold can be made of steel like P20 and S136, improving its life. Common plastic materials used to manufacture products include food-grade PP, PS and PE. In the injection molding process, temperature, pressure and speed are controlled strictly to ensure the quality. Full high-speed milling, CNC and high-speed precision engraving for processing are available to make the mold surface more beautiful.
